AVEA Life sells premium longevity supplements across Switzerland and the EU - a market where delivery precision and customer trust are non-negotiable. As order volume grew, the ops team was manually sending warehouse pick lists by email, checking carrier portals to find tracking numbers, copying them into customer replies, and coordinating returns one by one. The team was spending 5-6 hours daily on logistics coordination that added zero product value. Delayed shipment updates were generating support tickets. Returns took 3-5 days to process and acknowledge.
We built a complete logistics automation layer integrated into their Shopify stack. Every new order triggers an automated warehouse notification with a formatted pick list - no manual sends. Once shipped, DHL and PostNL carrier APIs are polled every 4 hours; when status changes, the customer receives a branded notification instantly. Return requests trigger an automated flow: label generated, confirmation sent, warehouse notified, refund queued - no ops involvement. Exceptions (failed delivery, address issue, customs hold) route to a Slack channel with full order context. The team now handles only genuine edge cases.
